BAND CAMP

Who?

Anyone planning to be a member of this year’s Silver Sound Marching Band and anyone in the Band Program (any band class).

Where?
East Lake High School

 

When?
Last 2 weeks of July - Check Calendar

What to bring?

  1. PCSB required paperwork

  2. Proper practice uniform: athletic shoes (no sandals or flip flops), athletic shorts, and light color t-shirt.

  3. Wear deodorant, shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and Gold Bond as many hours will be spent outside.

  4. Percussionist, a binder with page protectors. Put your student's name on the binder. 

  5. For Winds only, a flip folder with extra pages and a lyre specific to your instrument. Put your student's name on the flip folder.

  6. Nothing less than a 1 gallon thermos-type water jug/container (preferably blue) or a camelbak-type pack.  Put your students name on the camelbak, jug and lid. Only the self serve water fountains are available for students to refill their water jugs themselves.  

Band Camp Sneak Peak

Last Day of Band Camp @ 6:30 pm in the Football Stadium is the Sneak Peak for families and friends.  After the event, stay for a potluck dinner.  Sign up to bring a dish on the Sign Up Genius link.

If you are interested in joining the East Lake Marching Band, please contact our band director, Mr. Ian Black at blacki@pcsb.org.

The band room is located behind the auditorium and next to the chorus room. Mr. Black’s office is connected to the band room.

Pinellas County Schools Paperwork

Pinellas County Schools require ALL band members must complete and submit the full set of PCS forms to be eligible to participate in the band program at East Lake High School. 

 

Paperwork includes, among other things, a sports physical (within the last year) signed by your doctor.

 

The completed packet can be turned into Mr. Black in the band room. This process takes time, so get started now!
